East FC Winter Futsal

2026–2027 Program

Keep developing. Keep competing. Keep playing through the winter.

The East FC Winter Futsal Program gives players a complete winter development and competition experience through purposeful training, dedicated coaching, local league play, and tournament competition.

All training will take place at Limitless Arena under the direction of Miguel Cervantes, East FC’s dedicated Director of Futsal Coaching. Each training group and team will also have an assigned coach throughout the winter season.

No tryout is required for current East FC players. Players who are not currently registered with East FC are also welcome to join.

Program at a Glance

The 2026–2027 East FC Winter Futsal Program includes:

12 futsal training sessions
90 minutes of training per session
10–12 local league games
Up to two additional games for teams that qualify for the playoff weekend

The program runs from November 2026 through the beginning of March 2027.

Training

Players will participate in 12 ninety-minute futsal training sessions at Limitless Arena.

Training will focus on the technical and tactical demands of futsal, including:

Ball mastery in tight spaces
Speed of play and decision-making
Passing and receiving under pressure
Individual creativity and confidence
One-on-one attacking and defending
Movement away from the ball
Small-group attacking and defensive concepts
Futsal-specific positioning and game understanding

Training groups and specific session times will be announced after registration and player placement are complete.

Each session will be 90 minutes.

League Games

Each team will play 10–12 local league games during the winter season. Teams participate in the School of Futsal Ginga Futsal league.

Games will primarily be played on weekends at Limitless Arena and other local facilities in the greater Grand Rapids area. The league schedule may include Saturday, Sunday, and occasional weekday games.

Teams that qualify for the league playoff weekend may play up to two additional games.

Playoff Weekend

February 28–March 1, 2027

Participation in the playoff weekend is based on league qualification.

Local Tournament

All East FC futsal teams will participate in a local tournament held January 22–24, 2027.

Tournament entry is included in the program fee. There is no additional tournament charge.

Coaching Leadership

The program will be led by Miguel Cervantes, East FC’s dedicated Director of Futsal Coaching.

Miguel will oversee the program’s training curriculum, player development approach, team formation, coaching staff, and overall futsal methodology.

Each training group and competitive team will also have a dedicated coach, providing players and families with consistency throughout the winter season.

Team Formation and Player Placement

Current East FC players do not need to try out. Teams and training groups will be formed based on:

Birth year
Futsal and soccer experience
Current ability
Competitive level
Positional and roster needs
The overall developmental needs of each player

Futsal rosters may differ from outdoor East FC rosters. Players are not guaranteed placement with their outdoor teammates or coach.

Our goal is to place every player in an environment that provides the appropriate level of challenge and supports continued development.

Non-East FC Players

Players who are not currently registered with East FC are welcome to participate.

No formal tryout is required. East FC may contact the family for additional information to help determine the most appropriate team and training-group placement.

Non-East FC players will also be required to purchase the designated East FC uniform kit. The complete kit costs approximately $200. Final pricing and ordering instructions will be shared after registration.

Program Fees

Current East FC Players: $600 per player

Non-East FC Players: $750 per player (plus East FC uniform kit)

Do current East FC players need to try out?

No. Current East FC players may register directly for the winter futsal program.

Can players who are not currently with East FC participate?

Yes. The program is open to non-East FC players. The registration fee for non-East FC players is $750, and they must also purchase the required East FC uniform kit.

How much does the uniform kit cost?

The complete East FC uniform kit is expected to cost approximately $200. Final pricing and ordering instructions will be provided after registration.

Will my child play with the same team as during the outdoor season?

Not necessarily. Futsal teams and training groups will be formed based on age, experience, ability, competitive level, roster balance, and developmental needs.

Is the tournament included?

Yes. Entry into the January 22–24 local tournament is included in the registration fee.

How many games will each team play?

Each team will play 10–12 local league games. Teams that qualify for the playoff weekend may play up to two additional games.

Where will games be played?

Games will be played locally at Limitless Arena and other facilities in the greater Grand Rapids area.

When will training times be announced?

Training-group assignments and session times will be shared after registration and player placement are complete.

Are there additional league or tournament fees?

No. League, tournament, coaching, facility, and administrative costs are included in the registration fee.
