Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance

At East FC, our goal is simple: no player should miss the opportunity to play due to financial constraints.
To make this possible, we offer a range of programs and partnerships to help families manage costs.

While we are typically unable to offer direct fee discounts—because our club operates on a careful budget based on player fees—we have built multiple ways to reduce or offset expenses. These include scholarships, service opportunities, and community support. See below for the various opportunities:

Chance Sports Scholarships

APPLY AND RECEIVE Up to 50% of All Costs

Through our partnership with Chance Sports, eligible players (8–19 years old players meeting financial eligbility guidelines) can receive a scholarship to help offset club-related costs, including tuition, uniforms, equipment, travel, and tournament fees.

Application & Selection Process
  • Apply online as soon as your athlete has earned a spot on a competitive team—via tryouts or registration

  • Chance Sports reviews applications monthly, without deadlines, on a rolling basis

  • Notification timeline: Typically last 1–2 days of the month applied, though a late-month submission may result in notification by the end of the next month

  • If waitlisted, your application remains active for three months, after which a new application may be submitted

  • Renewal eligibility: Once awarded, athletes may reapply annually until high school graduation by completing the required annual items (photo, parent survey, athlete reflection)

Scholarship Distribution
  • Accepted families receive access via a Chek digital debit card—similar to Apple Pay or Android Pay

  • Accepted vendors: sporting goods stores (e.g., Dick’s Sporting Goods, Big 5, Play It Again Sports), airlines, hotels, rental cars, and gas stations (gas only)

  • Non-accepted vendors: Amazon, Target, Walmart, clothing stores, grocery stores, restaurants, fast-food chains, and other non-sports retailers

Frequently Asked Questions

Youth Referees

AYSO Region 571 provides opportunities for players to become certified referees. Training through AYSO is free! Referees are paid for their time, and those earnings can be applied toward their club fees. Officiating is also a great leadership growth opportunity which we recommend for our players to learn the rules of the game and udnerstand what officials are looking for during their own games.

Family-to-Family Support

We connect families who need assistance with anonymous donor families within the club. This program is handled with complete confidentiality.

How it works:

  • A donor family commits to covering part or all of another player’s fees.

  • The recipient family remains anonymous.

If you'd like to be on our donor family list, please let us know at info@eastfutbolclub.com

Paid Service Opportunities

From helping at tournaments to supporting club events, families can earn money toward club fees by working paid roles. Examples include: Event setup or breakdown, Running concessions, Administrative support during tryouts.

Other discounts

While we are not able to discount player fees, for families with three or more players at East FC, we are sometimes able offer discounts on additional programming (like summer camps). Availability is extremely limited and determined on a case-by-case basis.
