East FC Tryouts Draw Over 400+ Players, Launching a New Era

What a week it’s been.

East FC's first official tryouts were an incredible success, with more than 400 athletes joining us on the field. Over the course of multiple sessions, players from across the region came ready to compete, ready to connect, and—above all—ready for something different.

We are proud to announce that we’ve formed 20+ teams across boys and girls age groups for the 2024–2025 season, including our very first Premier-level team: 2010 Boys East FC Azul.

From our youngest players to high-level talent, every session was full of energy, smiles, and skill. The joy of the game was evident in every touch, tackle, and celebration. It’s what we believe makes East FC unique—our commitment to helping athletes find the right environment to thrive, not just the flashiest one.

Competition at Every Level

One of the most encouraging signs was the high level of competition across all birth years. Players showed up ready to push themselves, and our coaching staff worked hard to ensure that every athlete was evaluated fairly—not just by talent alone, but by effort, attitude, and potential.

At East FC, we don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all.” Tryouts were about helping players discover the right level of competition, where they can be challenged and supported in equal measure. From top-tier teams to developing squads, our goal is the same: to help every player grow with confidence and purpose.

A Community Ready for Change

If this week proved anything, it’s that families across West Michigan are ready for something new. The turnout wasn’t just a number—it was a message. Parents and players are searching for clubs that put the athlete first, that value joy and development above trophies. East FC is here to meet that moment.

Whether your child joined us this season or is still considering East FC, know this: this is only the beginning.

We’re building something special—and we’re doing it the right way.
